Sensei Christopher Crispin
Senior Instructor
I started my martial arts journey as a young teenager always getting into trouble. Once my father and now head instructor introduced me to the life of martial arts and the old ways of the Shorinji-Ryu style under grandmaster Hanshi balliet everything changed. I started to learn the respect and discipline of not just the martial art but of life itself. Though many years of tough training many days a week I was able to develop my self and my training into what molds me today. From the learning of hanshi balliet and our head instructor Michael Davies I have understood that no matter how hard one may fall it's about learning from it, making your self better and striving to be the best. While training under grandmaster Kenneth balliet I was privileged and honored to recieve the rank of nidan (2nd degree black belt). After his passing through continued devotion and training I currently hold the rank of Yondon (4th Dan) in the shorinji-ryu system. I also hold the rank of nidan in shorin-ryu. With the privilege to continue grandmaster Kenneth balliet's lineage I remain committed to preserving the integrity of Ryukyu Shorinji‑Ryu Karate‑Jutsu. My focus is on disciplined practice, technical precision, and the transmission of authentic Okinawan martial traditions to the next generation of students. Through my teaching and continued study, I strive to honor the legacy entrusted to me and contribute to the future of our lineage.
