The Ryukyu Shorinji Ryu Karate Association extends membership to individuals and dojos committed to preserving, practicing, and transmitting the authentic teachings of Ryukyu Shorinji‑Ryū Karate‑Jutsu. Membership signifies a dedication to disciplined training, respect for lineage, and the continued study of the principles handed down through generations of Okinawan masters.

By joining the Association, members affirm their support for the preservation of traditional technique, ethical conduct, and the spirit of personal development that defines Shorinji‑Ryū. The Association welcomes practitioners who seek not only technical skill, but also a deeper understanding of the historical, cultural, and philosophical foundations of Okinawan karate.

The Ryukyu Shorinji Ryu Karate Association is proud to announce that our School Charter Program is Coming Soon. This initiative is being developed with a clear purpose—to unite dedicated instructors and black belts who share a passion for preserving and promoting the traditional philosophy, values, and spirit of Okinawan martial arts.

Our upcoming charter program is designed for both experienced black belts seeking to establish their own schools and existing schools that wish to reconnect with the deeper traditions and principles that define authentic karate training. In a time when much of the martial arts world has shifted toward commercialism, competition, and status, we believe it is important to restore focus on what truly matters: discipline, humility, respect, character, and lifelong personal growth.

At Ryukyu Shorinji Ryu Karate Association, we believe martial arts is far more than learning techniques or earning rank. Karate is a way of life—one that develops not only skilled martial artists but also leaders, mentors, and role models within the martial arts community. Through proper training and traditional values, we seek to cultivate instructors who lead by example and understand that teaching extends beyond punches, kicks, and kata—it includes developing integrity, responsibility, and service to others.

Today, too much focus is placed on who is the best, what style is superior, or whose system is more effective. In the process, many lose sight of the true purpose and meaning of the martial arts lifestyle. Traditional karate was never meant to build ego—it was meant to build discipline, humility, confidence, and character.

The Ryukyu Shorinji Ryu Karate Association School Charter Program will focus on bringing together instructors who value tradition, high standards, and the authentic teachings of karate. Our mission is to create an organization built on unity, mutual respect, mentorship, and continuous growth, while preserving the traditional martial arts philosophy for future generations.

Coming Soon: Our charter opportunities will provide qualified instructors and school owners with the ability to become part of a growing traditional martial arts organization dedicated to developing not only strong martial artists—but also strong leaders within the martial arts community.

We are currently building this program to ensure it reflects the values, structure, and standards expected within the Ryukyu Shorinji Ryu Karate Association.
